At this time, we are unable to ship to any international locations and can only accept orders that are billed and shipped to locations within Canada. This excludes shipping to P.O. Boxes.

We are pleased to offer FREE standard shipping on orders of $50 or more! Express shipping is available for $15.

For orders under $50, we offer standard shipping through Canada Post for $10.

*We regret that expedited shipping is not available to PO Boxes at this time.

Please note, orders over $500 may require a signature confirmation at delivery.

If you have made an error entering your shipping address or need to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible at info@drunkelephant.ca. We will make every effort to ensure the correct delivery of your order.

Once an order has shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information in order to easily track your package. If you have not received a shipping confirmation email within a few days of placing your order, please check your “spam” folder.
Please note, orders over $500 require a signature confirmation at delivery.
If you believe your package is missing please contact us at info@drunkelephant.ca. We cannot replace packages until they have been confirmed missing

If your package was damaged during transit, save the box and merchandise and notify us immediately at info@drunkelephant.ca.

We want you to love your Drunk Elephant purchase, so if you are not totally satisfied, please send an email to info@drunkelephant.ca within 30 days of your purchase, and we will provide a return authorization and mailing information. We will be happy to remit your account for the full amount of your purchase, minus shipping. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Please note: We cannot ensure that we will be able to properly locate and handle your return without the return authorization and the correct return address.

All items purchased directly from drunkelephant.ca may be accepted for a return. If you purchased a Drunk Elephant product from one of our authorized retailers, please contact them for assistance.

At this time, we are unable to process an exchange. We will be happy to provide a full merchandise refund in the original form of payment.

We are so sorry you didn’t absolutely love your Drunk Elephant purchase. Please contact our customer service team at info@drunkelephant.ca in order to start the return process.

We’re sorry, but shipping fees are non-refundable. You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs when returning your items. We recommend that if you are shipping an item over $75 that you use a shipping service with reliable tracking or insurance. If a return item is lost in the shipment back, we cannot issue a refund.

Online Ordering

We always suggest subscribing to our emails to ensure you are getting first-access to new products, promotions, and news. Limited Edition products should be clearly marked. In general, when these go out of stock, it’s for good.

Yes! We include at least one free sample with every order, unless you opt not to receive them. We will only ship samples with a purchase and due to the limited nature of free samples, we are unable to re-ship them if they arrive damaged or are missing.

We have hand selected the samples that are given with each product with the intention of making your Drunk Elephant routine even better! At this time, samples can’t be specified or switched out.

We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Afterpay and Paypal. At this time, we do not accept multiple forms of payment on a single order.

To purchase a gift card, please add the item in the desired denomination to your shopping bag. Gift card codes will be emailed to the purchaser after the transaction is completed. You may choose to print or forward the gift card confirmation email to the recipient. Please note, Afterpay can not be used to purchase a gift card or on orders containing gift cards.

AFTERPAY

Afterpay is an alternative payment method service that allows us to offer our customers the ability to make purchases now and pay for them in four equal (interest-free!) installments, made every 2 weeks.

Just shop DrunkElephant.ca and proceed to checkout as usual. At checkout, select Afterpay as your payment method. You will be directed to the Afterpay website to register and provide payment details (Visa or Mastercard). If you’ve used Afterpay before, just log into your Afterpay account! Then follow the steps to complete your order -- it’s that easy! Usually, the first installment is paid at checkout, and the remaining 3 are made every 2 weeks (but don’t worry, your Drunk Elephant will still ship out once your order is complete and processed!).
Please note, all items in your shopping bag must be eligible for Afterpay, and the order value must be between $35 and $1000. Your first order, however, may have a lower maximum value. You will receive an instant approval decision on your order at checkout. Gift cards are not eligible for Afterpay, if you would like to also purchase a gift card, please place a separate order. You must me 18 years or older to create an Afterpay account.

There are no fees associated with the account as long as installments are paid on time, according to the payment schedule (provided at the time of order approval). If you are overdue on a payment, Afterpay automatically applies a grace period (usually 10 days unless otherwise noted) without you having to do anything. Late fees are incurred if payment is not made within the disclosed grace period time frame.

At this time, Afterpay is only available for customers who have Canadian billing addresses, a Canadian Visa or Mastercard, and a Canadian phone number. Unfortunately, customers with international billing information will not be able to set up an Afterpay account.

If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please contact our Customer Relations team to return the item(s). If you return an order made through Afterpay for the first time, it can be confusing, as you may expect the entire payment schedule for your order to be readjusted to reflect the new order value.
Once the refund is processed by Drunk Elephant - it automatically drops through to Afterpay, and your payment installment plan is adjusted to reflect the new total order value starting with the last payment installment and working backwards.

Product Questions

Most of our products do not have expiration dates because they are cosmetic products.

All Drunk Elephant products have a shelf life of 3 years (1 year after opening) except for:
Babyfacial – 2.5 years (1 year after opening)
C-Firma Fresh - 3 years (6 months after opening and mixing)

All skin care products have a PAO, or period-after-opening date that is printed on the packaging. This information is a guideline to get the most out of your products and use them at their peak efficacy. If you turn your Drunk Elephant bottles to the side, you will see a little open can with a number inside. This refers to the number of months in which we recommend using the product.

Our first priority is always the safety and effectiveness of the formula. Our entire Hair and Body line comes in recyclable packaging, as well as A-Passioni, Beste No.9, E-Rase and Virgin Marula Oil. At this time, in order to protect our formulations, the pumps available are not recyclable. However, when the option becomes available, we will be the first in line!

Yes, but of course use common sense. We recommend patch testing when using Umbra on small children and as a general rule, acids are intended for 13 years and older.

No, we do not test our products on animals, including elephants... although we think they could use the help!

While Drunk Elephant aims for its products to be as natural as possible, it is far more important that the ingredients in them be effective and safe for your body and skin. Plenty of natural ingredients are irritating, so we consistently formulate our products with soothing, low-hazard ingredients — regardless of their natural or synthetic status.

Over time, we have found that a small number of low-hazard synthetic ingredients are essential to maintain the efficiency, color, and stability of a high-performance line. We strive to be as safe as possible while providing the most efficacious skin care available.

As none of our products are produced in dedicated gluten-free facilities, we do not make this claim in association with our products. If you have a gluten intolerance or allergy, your physician needs to be the final word on whether our products are suitable for your sensitives. We recommend taking the ingredient lists for any Drunk Elephant products you're considering to them for review, just to be safe.

If you are vegan, please consult the ingredient decks for animal-derived ingredients.

All of our products have undergone clinical trials and none of the people in the trials have ever experienced irritation or breakouts when using only Drunk Elephant products.

No. We do not use parabens.

These are the six ingredients that we feel are at the root of most skin behaviors we see, including oily, acne-prone, inflamed, sensitive, combination, dry/dehydrated and more. We believe that eliminating the suspicious 6™ from your routine allows skin to reset to a normal, balanced state which means the products you are using can work as intended and deliver results. Instead of owning your skin “type”, remove silicones, essential oils, fragrance/dyes, drying alcohols, SLS and chemical/synthetic sunscreens and let your skin function and thrive as it can and should. Our entire product line is safe for pregnant or nursing women to use, with the exception of A-Gloei, A-Passioni and Babyfacial. However, always check with your doctor before using any new products while pregnant or nursing.

Yes, most definitely. When it comes to using a new product or ingredient (especially those that are acidic like L-Ascorbic and glycolic acid), start slowly and let your skin adjust. We use high concentrations in our products to ensure effectiveness, so a little tingling is not a bad thing!

We are so thrilled to be available in mainland China! However, if you’re asking about animal testing, let’s be clear: That is something we would never do. Hong Kong SAR does not require animal testing. That is the only place where we will be selling in retail (via Sephora HK), and in mainland China, we are using cross border e-commerce which does not require the same registration process as cosmetics sold via retail there. We are Leaping Bunny Program certified, and have never, nor will we ever, animal test or allow our products to be tested on animals.
